Dry Maize Corn
- The moisture content of dry maize corn should not exceed 14.0% m/m. This is
important to prevent spoilage and mold growth.
- Dry maize corn should be free from foreign matter, such as stones, dirt, and other
debris. The maximum allowable amount of foreign matter is typically 1.0%.
- Dry maize corn should have a minimum of 95.0% sound kernels. This means that no more
than 5.0% of the kernels can be damaged, broken, or diseased.
- Dry maize corn should be free from live insects. The maximum allowable number of
dead insects is typically 50 per kilogram.
