• The moisture content of Kabuli chana should not exceed 12%. High moisture content can lead to spoilage and mold growth.
• Kabuli chana should be free from foreign matter, such as stones, dirt, and other debris. The maximum allowable amount of foreign matter is typically 1.0%.
• Kabuli chana should have a minimum of 95.0% sound kernels. This means that no more than 5.0% of the kernels can be damaged, broken, or diseased.
• Kabuli chana should be free from live insects. The maximum allowable number of dead insects is typically 20 per kilogram.
